My neice has finally arrived!It has been a long 9 months for my sister-in-law, Amanda, but come yesterday evening, Mekenzie decided that enough was enough.
Amanda had a few contractions through out the day, 20 or more minutes apart, and not consistant. During the evening hours, in fact, she wasn't having any, and thought it would be another night before the little one would arrive. Then, out of the blue, the contractions hit.
By the time they could get her out to the car, they were already at 4 minutes apart. They got her to the hospital and broke her water within the hour.
Little Mekenzie Marie Belshe joined us at 1:55 AM July 25, 2008. 7 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. Quite tall, but otherwise average and healthy. Welcome, Mekenzie!
